Our Philosophy
At CCPS Little Learners, our philosophy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, recognising children as capable, curious learners who construct their own understanding of the world.
We focus on:
- Child-centred learning – Valuing each child’s voice, individuality, and pace of development within a safe, inclusive environment.
- Natural environments – Using our rich outdoor spaces, including Nature Play and Bush Kindy, to inspire exploration and discovery.
- Strong relationships – Educators act as guides and partners, fostering meaningful connections and a love of learning.
- Community and family partnerships – Collaborating with families to support each child’s growth and development.
- Communication – Encouraging children to express ideas, thoughts, and emotions with confidence and creativity.
- Documentation – Capturing learning and progress through reflection and our online platform, Xplor.
We respectfully acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and play and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
The CCPS Little Learners Difference
Children at CCPS Little Learners thrive in a rich, engaging environment that extends beyond the early learning setting, supported by the wider school community and resources.
What sets us apart:
- School Readiness: Our programs prepare children academically, socially, and emotionally for primary school.
- Continuity of Care: We follow each child’s learning journey, supporting long-term growth and development.
- Connection to the Full School Community: Access to facilities, programs, and experiences across the wider school enriches every child’s learning.
- Holistic Learning: Play-based, hands-on experiences foster curiosity, creativity, and essential life skills.
At CCPS Little Learners, every child’s education, wellbeing, and personal growth are at the heart of what we do.

OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
At CCPS Little Learners, our Centre is designed to offer outstanding facilities and resources for all children. Each room fosters a nurturing environment with age-appropriate learning experiences, and fresh, wholesome meals are prepared daily on-site by our school chef, including morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea (baby formula not included).
Quality Educators
Our programs are led by degree-qualified Early Childhood Teachers and overseen by our Educational Leader. Their passion, expertise, and dedication bring every child’s learning journey to life, ensuring a well-rounded experience that prepares children for success in school and beyond. We also place strong importance on continuity in the educator-child relationship, as consistent connections with familiar educators help create the sense of trust, security, and confidence children need to thrive and develop.
