The Twilight Concert included performances from over forty of our students in a wide range of skills from Classical violin and piano, to tap, ballet, ballad and popular song, and dueling drummers. It was my first experience of a full CCPS Music Concert, and under our new Director of Music, Paul Cusick, and with Kassandra Reynolds’ guidance of our beautiful Cherub Choir, it proved to be a night of joy and passion for celebrating music. The Sunshine Coast clearly is an outstanding place for music with the recently Sunshine Music Festival that included involvements from many of our students. There is something in the water and the greenery of our wonderful environment that inspires Poets and Musicians to perform and compose. So I think it is entirely appropriate that in our school which celebrates our students’ work in their Permaculture Garden, that we anticipate our students’ music being something that is extraordinary.
