My wife Barbara and I, had the rare opportunity to spend three days with our oldest son in Canberra along with his girlfriend, at his home for the past seven years. Over the weekend I also sat with our daughter on the sidelines of her boyfriend’s soccer match, and enjoyed our middle son’s return to some football fitness in the same team. It’s been very good to be able to catch our children together in their increasingly independent lives. I keenly know how valuable family time is.
