We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior English Teacher to join our dynamic team at Caloundra City Private School

We are located in Pelican Waters (4551). This school is a one-year level one class school. Innovative practice is easy (no layers of bureaucracy), autonomy is encouraged, professional learning is a priority, and student-teacher relationships are key.

What you’ll be doing

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for students in Years 7-12
• Develop and implement creative, innovative, and differentiated teaching strategies to cater to the diverse needs of our students
• Assess student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain detailed records
• Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and resources
• Participate actively in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive and supportive learning environment
• Actively engage in the broader life of the school community

What we’re looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, with a specialisation in English
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a secondary English teacher, preferably in an independent school setting
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential
• Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and experience in curriculum development and implementation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the broader school community
